Obituary for Gregory Johne Scheurman

Gregory John Scheurman, 67, of Laramie, died on August 30, 2019 in Laramie.
He was born on October 6, 1951 in Cheyenne.
Mr. Scheurman was a teacher at Carey Junior High School, and enjoyed fishing, reading, HAM radio, University of Wyoming sports, and was a lifetime member of the VFW.
He was 1of 24 geography teachers in North America to receive a Distinguished Teaching Achievement Award and was the Past President of Cheyenne Teachers Education Association.
He is survived by his children, Barbara Deines of Cheyenne and Pete Scheurman (Candi) of Ankeny, Iowa; two siblings, Geoff Scheurman of Wisconsin and Kurt Scheurman of Cheyenne; and three grandchildren.
Mr. Scheurman was preceded in death by his parents, John and Opal Scheurman.
Graveside services and military honors will be Friday, 10:00 a.m., at Lakeview Cemetery.
