James C. Frew

OBITUARY

Jim Frew of Cheyenne passed peacefully at home, May 13, 2016, at the age of 64. Born April 3, 1952, to James and Charline Frew; he grew up in Cheyenne and attended East High School and the University of Wyoming. Jim worked as a skilled and respected carpenter for 35 years and six years as a Quality Control Representative for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He is survived by wife, Deb; brother, Doug (Elaine); step-daughters, Christine (Rob) Mason, Stephanie (Mark) Harris, and Melissa (Bo) Nickens; adored grandchildren, Alexis, Cade, Cameron and Camden; sister-in.-law, Linda (Steve) Mumm; nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. Jim was a proud Mason and dedicated Shriner. He especially loved spending time with his fraternal brothers making and telling stories. He served on the Frontier Days Contract Acts and Parade Committees and was elected a Heels member in 1992. Jim was thrilled and at peace when the wind was in his face while riding his Harley Davidson. Jim was a proud "warrior" who lived a full life. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 1275 E Fairfax Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84103. A celebration of Jim's life is Sunday, June 5, at 1:30 p.m. at the Masonic Temple, 1820 Central Avenue with a reception to follow at the Cheyenne Shrine Club, 224 E. Iowa Street.
